God’s Promise: Heal their land

The resolution is always the same weather we have sinned as an individual, as leaders, a group or as a nation. God heard their prayers, forgave “His people” and healed the land of those who repented. When God promised Solemn that He would heal their land He was telling Solemn that He would heal their “ground”. He was telling him that He would “repair” it and “make the ground whole”. This was true for as long as Solemn and the people of that land met His conditions and avoided the consequences of turning away from God as Solemn and his decedents eventually did. In principle the conditions and promises that God presented to Solemn are just as real for us today. Even today God appoints leaders over nations. Similarly as He required Solemn to serve Him shouldn’t we as God’s children endeavor to serve Him by electing and supporting godly leaders. Shouldn’t it also be our prayer that our land would be healed? Man cannot heal our land only God is capable of healing our land. Psalm 24:1 tells us that all of the earth belongs to the Lord and everything there in. Wouldn’t this mean that all natural resource belong to the Lord to give as He pleases? If so it goes without saying that there are unknown resources and discoveries capable of bringing restoration to our land and nation. In what ways might God physically, medically and financially heal our nation through new found resources in its land? Furthermore, isn’t it possible that God’s promise is meant to encompass spiritual healing in our nation and in our land as well? Doesn’t it stand to reason that if we choose to walk with God according to His will that He would give us victory over spiritual darkness?
